My Services
01.
I work to understand how to best meet your unique needs and draw on a wide range of approaches such as parts therapy, somatic and emotion focused perspectives. My work is informed by the latest research and developments in the field of neuroscience, and trauma, to help you deepen self-awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion.
The Counselling Process
-
Once you request a session, I will call you to have a brief discussion and get a better sense of your issues and how to best work together.
-
I will then book you in for a first session in which we will discuss your goals and needs.
-
I will collaboratively design a treatment plan with you, based on this discussion which we will continue to shape to meet your goals.
-
The treatment plan, goals and concerns will determine the number of sessions you need.
-
Some people come to me for a short period of time for a specific problem, others may wish to engage in more long-term, in-depth therapy. Everyone is different and each issue is unique.

As a couple’s counsellor, I work from a non-judgemental and supportive space to help couples identify individual and shared needs. Once your problems are understood and goals are set, I draw on a variety of methods and research to help find the best tools for you. All work is collaborative and tailored to the unique needs of the relationship. I treat all relationships with respect and reverence.
The Counselling Process

Once you request a session, I will call you to have a brief discussion and get a better sense of your issues and how to best work together.
-
Once you request a session, I will contact each person in the relationship to have a brief discussion and allow you to see if I am the right fit for you. I will also use this time to decide if couples counselling is the first step or if individual counselling would be best suited to your needs. *Please note not every issue or couple is suitable for couples counselling some issues may be safer to discuss in individual sessions.
-
If determined as suitable for couples counselling, and both partners agree to the process, I will book you in for a first joint session in which we will discuss your goals and needs as a couple.
-
I will then collaboratively design a treatment plan with you both based on your goals and issues.
-
Some couples see me for a short period of time for a specific problem; others may wish to engage in more long-term, in-depth therapy. Some couples elect to come back for tune ups after they have finished. Again, every couple and issue are unique.
